Hi, today I installed office 2013 on my new windows 8 laptop, I then atempted to save a 2003 word document from a disc I saved and since then there has been a problem with my office 2013, i keep getting an error message saying A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available, no solution comes available and nothing happens, I now cannot use any microsoft office packages on my new laptop and this package cost me quite a bit (keycard upload) Has anyone got any ideas on how i can resolve the problem? I have removed the 2003 document i tried to save and first thought this was a compatilbility issue.

Hi Sandy,

As you said you "cannot use any microsoft office packages", so, how many Office appliactions are affected? And which ones?

.

Please try to repair your Office as a quick fix.

If that doesn't work, try start Office in safe mode, see if this problem will still persists. (Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the Office program to start it in safe mode.)

If the problem does not occur in safe mode, this issue might be related to third-party add-ins. Disable the add-ins and start Office to see whether the problem continues to occur.

.

If the problem continues to occur in safe mode, we recommend that you uninstall Office and then install it. To do this, read the following Microsoft knowledge base article:

NONE of that worked for me

not even a MS Tech on phone looking for ABBY reader (not found)

once when allowed in  ... in safe mode for a moment, made sure it was communicating with the default printer (another fix on line mentioned) = still fails to load "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly" yadayada

Gee it WAS working last month before I got weekly updates from MS

Yes, I have tried everything listed here and every where, even Norton allows it to communicate freely

win 8.1-64
